Emotional manipulation.

Have you ever been threatened by your lover? Or mandated to do things in contrary to your wish? If your answer is in affirmative, then there is tendency that you are being manipulated emotionally.
Emotional manipulation is an act of exercising authority over someone in the bid to have them under your control and get them do things as you would wish even at the expense of their happiness. Several reason why people undergo emotional manipulation.
Lack of esteem - lack of self esteem often leads to indecision. People who lack self esteem often lack the power and ability to make their own choice. They go with whatever they are being presented with despite its negative effect in their life. They find it difficult to say no and stick to it. It is always yes to every thing, they can go to any length just to please their loved ones.
Misconception about love- some folks are so overwhelmed by love. They have a wrong mindset about relationships. They often think that being in a relationship entails doing everything possibly to please their partner. They sacrifice with the wrong motive. Their sense of reasoning suddenly disappears at the "mere" mention of love .
Break up phobia - fear of being lonely has made a lot of people accept any treatment in a relationship regardless of its effect on them . The thought of break up usually sends cold shiver down their spine. So whenever they are being threatened with it. They succumb immediately. To them, nothing else matters aside their loved ones. And that is the best tactics often used by their lover to manipulate them and get them do their wish.
How can you avoid it?
Develop self love. Understand the fact that you are equally important, and need to be treated humanely. Take relationship as an aspect of life and not life itself. Remember, there was a life before you met him/ her, why loose it suddenly in the bid to please another. Make a decision and stick to it..don't let anyone lure you to the point of compromise.

Are men really scared of commitment?

This is one of the common question women ask on daily basis. A lot of women are in a relationship where it seems as though as getting a man commit is a difficult if not an impossible task. They are so skeptical about the relationship, as a result non commitment by their man. Which often gets them in a paranoid state. And they always wondered why a man who claimed to have a soft spot for them could find it extremely hard to show commitment in a relationship which may have probably lasted for some couple of years. To some women, it seem as though their man is emotionally distance from them, they do all to ensure the relationships works, while the man does nothing on his own part rather than enjoy the benefits coming from her own part alone. Now the question is. What could be the major reason behind this? Before I outline some major reasons behind this, I have to brief you on the emotional status of men. Men are rational beings who are often derived by their Ego. Unlike women...

Handling Rejection.

Have you ever gotten a gift for your spouse, hubby or perhaps children? With the intention of putting a smile on their face and having them appreciate your kind gesture. But unfortunately, on handing the gift to them, they rejected it right away. Without any concrete reason. How would you feel? Heartbroken right? You wished you never got it in the first place. You wished you never informed them about it. The scenario is similar to loving someone. Cherishing them and doing all your best to ensure they are always happy and fulfilled. But rather than having them reciprocate your love, they ended up jilting you. Making it look as though loving them was the greatest mistake you ever made. . I understand the feelings, it is rather expressed than experienced. Rejection often leads to inferiority complex and low self esteem. You may begin to downgrade your self and feel worthless. With the mindset that no one loves you and every other person is better than you. But there are ways t...
